Tips & Tricks: Disable any parent menu item in WordPress

1. Be sure you have activated the link target in the options menu on your menu page.
2. Insert a link menu item where the URL is anything e.g. http://www.google.com
3. Select the just created link menu item and click on the dropdown link in the top right corner.
4. Delete the URL from the URL target field.
5. Easy as 1, 2, 3 ... 5 ...
